As a chief troubleshooter to two Secretaries of State, Ambassador Sherman's portfolio included Asia, the Middle East, Central America, North Korea, Russia and Cuba, as well as transnational issues. She directed the Fannie Mae Foundation as President and CEO and also served as a member of the Fannie Mae Operating Committee.
