Djelloul (Del) Marbrook was the editor of six daily newspapers and held editorial posts on several major metropolitan dailies. He is the winner of the 2007 Stan and Tom Wick Poetry Prize of Kent State University whose press published his book, Far From Algiers, in 2008. Marbrook's First novel was Saraceno (Open Book Press).


Djelloul is the English language editor of Arabesques Literary and Cultural Review, featuring in the current issue the Irish poet Fred Johnston, and Americans Jefferson Holdridge, Earl J. Wilcox and Daniel Pendergrass. His interview of the California poet Molly Fisk is featured.
