With Sears becoming the third major retailer to close its Columbia store, the city of Columbia is turning its focus to manufacturing and technology business development. The Sears store, located in the Columbia Mall at 2300 Bernadette Dr., is scheduled to close in mid-July, a corporate spokesman said.
