Prime minister since the sacking of Agbéyomé Messan Kodjo in June 2002, Koffi Sama has been secretary-general of the RPT since end-2000. He is viewed as more conciliatory than his predecessor, and is a more effective administrator.






Koffi Sama (born 1944 in Amoutchou) was the Prime Minister of Togo, from 29 June 2002 until 9 June 2005. Following the death of long-time president Gnassingbé Eyadéma on February 5, 2005, he announced the news, calling it a "national catastrophe".
