 Azerbaijan conscription



In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Conscription in the Republic of Azerbaijan", with the aim of bringing the Armed Forces of the Azerbaijan Republic and other military units stipulated by legislation up to strength, I hereby, decree:



1. Citizens of Azerbaijan Republic born in 1986 who are 18 years of age on the day of conscription, those born in 1969-1985, under the age of 35, as well as citizens of Azerbaijan Republic who have no rights of deferment of service in the Republic's armed forces and other military formations shall be conscripted into active military service on April 1-20 2004.



2. Soldiers, seamen and sergeants who have served a term of service envisaged by the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic "On Military Service" shall be discharged on July 1-20 2004.



3. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan and local bodies of executive power shall take appropriate measures envisaged by the Law for implementation of the present Decree.



4. The present Decree comes into effect on the day of signing
