Such acts should be prosecuted in order to discourage such acts in the future. The accusations that Gupta levelled at the Supreme Court were mirrored in an earlier case from 2011.In this case the Supreme Court fined the ex-minister Chiranjivi Wagle with NRs 20.3 million and an 18 months jail sentence.
